Vinyl fences are manufactured using PVC, a substance considered a flexible product in the fencing industry. It was developed in 1950, and initiated into the market in 1984. Vinyl fences are manufactured using two different processes: mono-extrusion and co-extrusion. Monox96extruded fences are more expensive since they contain twelve parts of titanium oxide as integral components of the fence material. However, in co-extruded fences, TiO2 is simply applied as a coating or a functional ‘suntan’ lotion, which covers only twenty percent.
