Students who attend school in uniform imbibe qualities of oneness as they learn lessons with discipline in classrooms. The school uniform instills confidence among the students, as all the children wear the same type of uniform. This will also bring equality among the children and keep fashion trends out of the halls of education. In fact, many of the students who opt for non-uniform schools are often tend to behave in an irrational manner and wear insignia that distracts others from concentrating on studies.
However, wearing school uniforms alone may not solve growing discipline problems among the students. Several of the communities have come forward in support of the school uniform measures to instill confidence and safety among the children. It is important to note that some states, like California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New York, and Tennessee, have enacted school uniform regulations in support of the school administration.
The dress code is becoming an important factor in keeping children away from bad influences. It is also easier for the school administrators to keep an eye on the growing intolerance levels among the children as well. The school uniform is mainly aimed at bringing about an attitude change among the children through positive interaction. The fashion-conscious children are attending schools with trendy wear, and this is leading to unwanted clashes among the students. Provocative dresses distract others. Some of the states where the uniform rule is implemented are witnessing a deep fall in crime rates involving the students. In fact, sexual harassment cases, vandalism, gunfights and other fights come down drastically. The dress code has also helped administrators to keep on eye on drug addicts and bring them around through suitable measures. The positive changes witnessed in several schools with the implementation of school uniforms have really brought about a sea change in schools.
