Portable saunas are a great option for people on vacations and business trips. These are also ideal for people living in small quarters, apartments and condominiums. Usually, people living in small quarters may be unable to accommodate a permanent sauna installation in their room. Some folks prefer portable saunas because they are less expensive than large home saunas. Like traditional saunas, portable saunas are also fashioned to offer health benefits including skin rejuvenation, stress relief, improved circulation, and toxin cleansing.
With the advent of portable saunas, you no longer have to travel to a health club or spa. You can enjoy sauna bathing at the comforts of your home, office or on vacation with the help of portable saunas. They offer all the amenities of permanent saunas.
Today, portable saunas of different styles and models are offered for sale. The two basic types of portable saunas are folding saunas and pre-built units. Folding saunas provide maximum space efficiency. These box-like structures are designed to accommodate single person. The main advantage of these models is that they can be folded up into a very compact package for transportation and storage. They can be installed very easily and do not require any plumbing or electrical connections. The user can sit with his or her hands and neck sticking out from the unit. This allows him to do several other things such as watching movie or television and reading while enjoying the sauna.
Pre-built portable saunas are available in different sizes. Some pre-built portable saunas are small entities that can fit just one person. Larger portable saunas can accommodate a number of people at the same time. They are not intended to carry along on business trips or vacations. They can be moved when required like a large piece of movable furniture. Pre-built models come in two- to three-piece units and can be installed within half an hour.
Some portable saunas use far infrared (FIR) as their common heat source. They heat the user without warming the air. Far infrared rays pass into the body tissues promoting increased circulation of blood and metabolism.
