Paintball is fast gaining popularity in Europe and the United States. It is a favored recreational gaming activity that is enjoyed by amateurs and professionals alike. This game is being played at stag parties, corporate events, birthday parties, and get-togethers. Many are obsessed with this sport. Apart from casual pastimes, there are paintball tournaments held for professionals.
Paintball fields depend on various factors and personal preferences. The different types of paintball fields include wooded outdoor fields, speedball, hyperball, and indoor playing fields. Players enjoy and prefer wooded outdoor fields most amongst the other types. People are growing fond of the war scenario created for the game; they are drawn to the thick woods and natural surroundings, complete with natural and fabricated bunkers. Until recently, most of the fields built have been outdoor variety. Although playing in these fields is enjoyable, they are costly and difficult to administer. In this field, the games tend to take a long time, as people need to travel longer distances. In this type of field, enforcing rules is tough as they are a number of them.
The speedball and hyperball fields have very high frequencies and speeds. Although, people may be tentative because of the speed levels, setting up this field is easier. The field is not very big and the games are shorter and require more paint. The economics of speedball field is more pragmatic as compared to wooded outdoor fields. A combination of wooded fields and speedball fields are now being built to attract more players of varying skills and experiences.
Indoor paintball fields are mushrooming in many parts of the U.S. Indoor fields are convenient and widely accessible to the general public. These fields are often filled to their capacity. In these fields, players have a higher likelihood of getting hurt, as they are playing in an enclosed area. Indoor fields offer limited space and are very fast as compared to the outdoor ones.
The popularity of paintball is crossing the boundaries of the U.S. and spreading to other countries as well. Irrespective of the types of fields, players immensely enjoy playing this game.
