You choose your accommodation according to your needs, and budget. There is limited public transportation, with buses running to major shopping centers only. However, some accommodations provide shuttle service to and from the airport or beach. The best mode of transport is taxis or rental cars. There are about 50 flights a day from airlines like US Airways, Continental and Delta.
Myrtle Beach prides itself in being the first travel destination to come up with a ‘golf package.’ Golfers contact their accommodation’s golf director and give them basic information. The golf director will mail schedules and tee times along with an entire package with accommodations, meals, etc.
Shopping is another reason for people to visit Myrtle Beach. There are many enclosed malls, factory outlets and boutiques where you can buy souvenir everything from T-shirts to designer home furnishings. The cream of Myrtle Beach is the entertainment including Broadway shows, family fun parks, dinner and show attractions and nightclubs, where nightlife is unsurpassed.
