Alternately, a visitor can choose to stay in resorts in the nearby areas. For instance, the island of Hilton Head offers the richest accommodations in the county. Many of the hotels offer facilities such as golf courses, lazy rivers and swimming pools. Some hotels offer cruises and arranged tours.
Myrtle Beach is one of the most prominent beaches in the eastern coast of the US. Hence, with the high inflow of tourists and an innumerable number of hotels to choose from, it is difficult to research prices and facilities. It is further complicated by the on-season rates corresponding to weekends and festivals. It is advisable to check an official calendar to find the ongoing festivals. Despite the year round pleasant climate, the peak season starts from June and lasts till November.
The normal rates for hotel tariff starts at $60. Cheap hotels can also be found for as low as $40. The tariff at many of the hotels includes entertainment and golf packages. Discounts can also be obtained, with some hotels offering multiple discounts that can be used in restaurants. The best deals can be obtained through schemes such as pay for two nights and stay for three, etc. Oceanfront hotels cost much more than other locations.
In many of the reserved rooms, an advance deposit is required and a percent is forfeited in case of cancellations. Separate reservation charges are applied for golf. The tariff rates during weekends and festivals may be higher.
