Lake Tahoe boasts an unmatched diversity of exhilarating activities, interesting cultural aspects, and beautiful scenery. Every summer its clean blue waters welcomeall kinds of boaters, anglers and water skiers. Others try biking, horseback riding, sightseeing, sunbathing and camping. Cabarets and casino showrooms entertain throughout the year. During winters, tourists come for cross-country skiing, and sleigh rides.
Lodging varies from cabins to homes to condominiums. These come with basic features such as a living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Some lodges are available with a lakefront view. Other amenities include a fireplace, swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, pool table and grill. These lodges have preferences based on their proximity from ‘most-visited zones’ such as beaches, casinos and market areas. Other people choose lodges depending on whether they allow smoking or pets, or if the place is handicap-accessible.
Due to the popularity of Lake Tahoe and an increasing number of visitors each year, various ‘lodging packages’ exist to entice visitors and keep them coming every year. These include facilities such as skiing, golf, spas, and casinos, offering a ‘value-for-money’ deal in all. For honeymooners, a special deal such as a ‘romance package’ is offered in various lodges at a reduced price.
The price for a night’s stay in a lodge have no lower or upper limits. Depending on the amenities provided, location and other features, the rents can vary from around $300 to $1,500 for a home and about $150 to $500 for a condo. These rents differ depending on the season, too.
