Buying a graduation gift for a male can be a very rewarding experience for you and for the graduate. Depending on the age of the male and your relationship to him, there are hundreds of gifts that are perfect for his special day.
A high school graduate heading to college or a college graduate heading out into the world will, without a doubt, welcome any gift from family and friends. The most appropriate gifts are practical ones. At this point in a young man’s life a gift of money would probably be the most practical, but other gifts like gift certificates, lap top computers, electronic organizers, portable DVD or MP3 players, brief cases and portfolios are also acceptable. For a high school guy heading to college a round trip ticket home would put his mind at ease – knowing he has a way to escape on school vacation. A college grad would surely be thrilled with a ticket to the Bahamas or any exotic island.
If the graduate is a family friend, a pen set, watch, “special graduate” plaque, graduation album, engraved stationary or food basket are all lovely ways to say “congratulations.” Gift certificates to food, clothing, music and bookstores are also quite nice. If your not sure of the young man’s tastes, find a mall that offers a gift certificate to any of their stores, or order a certificate on the Internet that can be used in hundreds of online websites. This guarantees you that there has to be something out there that the grad will want and that he will appreciate the fact that you care.
