Playing cards were the inspiration for the origin of tarot. In the early days, tarot was also used to create stories and poems. These poems in praise of courtiers were called Tarocchi Appropriati. In time, these cards became connected with divination.
Tarot readings are a form of divination. They are supposed to give us a peek into the future. Tarot card symbols are interpreted in many ways – even the way that they are placed. If placed upwards the meaning is positive, if upside down it is negative. Tarot cards may have different interpretations in different positions. For example, the King of Wands in the first position could signify positive ambition, plans and learning. In the second position, it may signify procrastination. In the third, it may encourage you to work with a team. In the fourth, it could ask you to take initiative, and in the fifth, it could ask you to work on your self-confidence.
There are sites on the Internet that offer free tarot card readings. They answer a few limited questions. Some of them are not just tarot sites but advertise other occult products as well. You’ll find these sites easy to navigate. Many of them have preset questions. Cards are drawn out once you fill in your details and your questions are answered. Computer algorithms or programs are used to read the cards.
Some of the sites that offer free readings are Sara Freder (www.sara-freder.com), Astrosearch (www.tarot.readings.thefutureminders.com), Circle of Light (www.circlesoflight.com), Tarot Cards and Tarot Reading (www.tarot-reading.net), Spiritual Guidance Tarot (www.spiritualguidancetarot.com/).
Many say that tarot reading will transform the way life is now being lived by the seeker, that it may bring about self-discovery and change.
Some sites give the user a set of cards to view. Some of these are well known decks like Tarot of Dreams, Gilded Tarot, Da Vinci Enigma Tarot, Golden Tarot, and Druidcraft Tarot. Other sites even train you to read the cards.
If you want to know more about divination, you would do well to get an appointment with a tarot reader online or by telephone. These readings must be paid for.
