From condos to luxury homes to amazing mountain chalets, Aspen has it all. Here are some of the popular vacation rental options.
The Aspen Mountain Lodge has a bit of history attached to it. This is where skiing began on Ajax Mountain, way back in 1947, when the world’s longest ski lift at the time was opened for the public. The lodge is tucked near the base of Aspen Mountain, not very far from the pulsating downtown. Their two-bedroom condominiums come with fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, and maid service. The rates start at $149 per night during the regular season.
For three-bedroom town homes, the Woodrun V condominium complex is a popular option. It is conveniently located just above the Burlingame chairlift, and you can make use of the fantastic ski access. You can ski in/ski out to Adams Avenue, from the back patio of your town home The living area comes with a fireplace, wet bar, cable TV/VCR, and full stereo system with CD player. Nightly rates during the holidays start at $1,200 and $875 during the regular season.
The upscale Top of the Village condo property, aptly located above the Snowmass Village on Snowmelt Road, is another very popular ski in/ski out vacation property. Surrounded by White River National Forest on three sides, the condos come in two-bedroom/two-bath units, three-bedroom/three-bath, and four-bedroom/three and one-half-bath units. A guest shuttle service is available on call. Nightly rates during December start at $863.
For some old-world charm and classic elegance, you can opt for the Creek Lane Chateau, complete with the view of a trout pond, mountain creek, and ski slope. With five bedrooms and six baths, two master bedrooms with decks and fireplaces, and an outdoor hot tub overlooking the ski slope and pond, the Chateau epitomizes the high life in ski vacations. Nightly rates climb to $3,000 during the peak season and $2,000 during regular season.
The season dates are as follows: the off-season spans from November 17 to December 16, 2005, and April 4 to April 16, 2006. The regular season is from February 9 to March 31, 2006, and the crowded holiday season lasts from December 17 to January 4, 2006.
