Applying Make Up

It is a dream of every woman to stand out in the crowd, flaunting that perfect look and stealing the show. A great make up can be the perfect way to do gain ample attention and project a flawless skin.

The most crucial step to start with would be to wash the face and neck thoroughly so that the skin is cleansed of all the dirt and dust. A water-based moisturizer, applied after drying up the face, would then provide a perfect moisture balance required by the skin. A concealer, applied in dots all over the face and neck and gently rubbed in circular motion, can cover blemishes and spots. The application of the foundation would follow next, using fingertips or sponge, and needs to blend uniformly. It is essential that the color of the concealer is one shade lighter than the foundation. A compact or powder can be used to help the foundation last longer.

The use of the right color is very important as they help in accentuating the features of the face and thus, require careful application. Individuals can highlight their cheekbones by using darker shades of blushers applied in outward direction from the cheek towards the earlobes, which will avoid concentration of colors in the middle of the cheek. While a copper shade is a good option for a dark complexion, pale pink or peach shades look nice on fair complexions.

Eyes speak volumes when it comes to make up and thus, need to be enhanced with eyeliners that would help in blending the eye shadow with the lashes. Applying an eye shadow can be tricky and hence, should be carefully. Two coats of mascara provide a final touch to complete the eye make up.

As for the lips, although not mandatory, the lip liner can be used to accentuate the color and shape of the lips. If used, the color of the lip liner and that of the lipstick should blend properly. One can use a brush that allows more coverage and control of the amount of color applied. A touch of gloss would finally give that shining, well-defined, and luscious look to the lips.
