The schools are often strict, but help prepare students for college life and military service.
Choose the right school suited to the child’s needs by conducting extensive research. In the US, there are boys-only and Christian military schools as well. For example, the Army and Navy Academy (Carlsbad, CA), Marine Military Academy (Harlingen, TX) and Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA) are all boys. St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy (Delafield, WI) and Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA) are Episcopal and Baptist Christian schools. Admiral Farragut Academy (St.Petersburg, FL) and New York Military Academy (Cornwall on Hudson, NY) are co-ed.
