Duty-free cigarettes are different from tax-free cigarettes. Tax-free means there is no tax added to an order from the source country. A product is duty-free when it reaches the country of destination, where tax may be applied to the discretion of the local Customs Authorities. For this reason, the product may not be duty-free when it reaches the market. However, the value of duty taxes which are usually applied varies from country to country.
